CAT Network is not just TV, it is a window. CAT 8 Television is not a channel, it is a bridge.
Since the conception of the network, it stayed on its commitment to be the window of the city to the countryside, vis-a-vis the window of the countryside to the city.

Countryside Associated Television is slowly realizing its dream to bring every province closer to one another. Relearning and retelling the stories in your town becomes a new learned history forother towns. Your story becomes my story and my history becomes yours. CAT 8 Television, is a long bridge connecting the first city of Ilocos to the last town of Bicol. A bridge that connects a huge culture gap in the country.

For a long time, people in the countryside are blindfolded on what is happening around them. The daily news on TV is all about Manila. News that sometimes does not matter to them. News that does not belong to the their people. Finally, CAT News Express becomes the window of the people to their respective town and province. A news program that brought the countryside to light. An access to the daily happenings in their own and neighboring towns. The timeless stories also reintroduce them to their history and culture. A program that has a close affinity to the audience. Thank God, a major disaster, a world shocking accident or an ungodly crime does not have to happen for them to be noticed or to be on TV. A window has opened for them. Now the they can peek through and can be seen through that window.

Realizing its promise to bring worth watching alternative programs to the tube, the network heralded a new age in Philippines prime time television when it launched GROlympics, Korean Basketball League and Blow by Blow. GROlympics, the first ever reality show that showcases beauty, wit and talents of the Filipino women. Although, the contestants in the program are Guest Relation Officers from a mens club in Paranaque City, it does not promote sex industry but a glimpse on the lives of the people working in the industry and the lessons the viewers can learn from it. A program that both male and female viewers of Cat 8 can enjoy.

Filipinos love sports. Filipinos love drama, the reason that we easily fell in love with the Koreans through the Koreanovelas. Little did you know, the Koreans got infatuated with how we play basketball during the 70s, infatuation that developed to their love for the game. Just like telenovelas, the two nations love for basketball resulted into rivalry. Koreans and Filipinos are once the Toyota and Crispa of Asia. We may say, the Koreans learned a lot from us because if youll watch how the Koreans play the game today, we can simply reminisce how we played the game before. The airing of the Korean Basketball League is our bridge to the nation that played a big role in Philippine basketball history. Let us fall in love again to the game and let the girls fall in love to the Korean cagers who wear the same haircut as the actors in the Koreanovelas.

Filipinos love boxing, Manny Pacquiao is Filipino, Manny Pacquiao is Boxing and Manny Pacquiao was born in Blow by Blow. Yes the premiere boxing program can be seen in CAT 8. It premiers the fights of the future Pacmans of the Philippines. The program showcases unforgettable fights of great Filipino boxers. The countryside Filipinos will be the witness on how a great boxer rises from his early career in Blow by Blow up to becoming a world champion.

On its unique syndication system, CAT 8 Television and the countryside Filipino will hand in hand cross the bridge to the newest viewing habit through the networks quality programming.
